DISCIPLE'S TOPIC:

 The Mission Field

We are called to service, to mission. Not just some, but everyone. Jesus was THE missionary. The eleven Disciples were missionaries. Paul was as well, and when he writes about Spiritual gifts, he is writing about the Holy Spirit equipping us for missionary service. Now and then we need to be reminded.   Sometimes we need to remember we were saved for service, not to be served. More often, we need to become aware of where our field of missionary service is. It is everywhere that we are. In Sunday School, during our church services, as we engage in volunteer activities for our congregation. It is in Africa for some and Afghanistan for others - for the few. But, for everyone we are in our mission field at home, work and play as much as any "foreign mission station" one could imagine. May these topics help us focus upon our service of gratitude.  Being a disciple of Christ is being a missionary.
